CrossRoads retreats are designed to challenge and inspire young people to see the world and their faith with a broader, deeper view.
Each experience is a gospel based exploration of what it means to be a disciple in the here and now.
We offer a variety of immersive retreat experiences ranging in duration from 6 hours to 7 days.

CrossWalk is a week-long summer immersion into the heart of our city. Envisioned as an alternative to “service trips,” CrossWalk invites young people to step out of their comfort zones and into radical relationships with individuals who've been marginalized and disenfranchised by our society.
Are you a local rising sophomore or recently graduated senior? Maybe you're somewhere in-between. Register now for our local CrossWalk!
Follow Me is CrossRoads' most popular retreat offering. This overnight retreat uses Icon Prayer to invite young people to examine the labels, stereotypes, and prejudices associated with refugees and immigrants; people experiencing homelessness, poverty, and addiction; adults with developmental disabilities, and others.
Footprints is a daylong examination of discipleship. This retreat recognizes Jesus’ public ministry and the ways in which he left his mark on the world - through his footprints, fingerprints, and friendships. Just as Jesus welcomed the extremely poor, the tax collector, the prostitute, and the leper, we encourage students to welcome into their hearts those labeled "undesirable" by society.
Price: $35 per participant
Retreat on the Street
A pilgrimage of our city exploring racial history and justice.
A socially distanced urban pilgrimage inviting young prophets and pilgrims of any age to come see their city with new eyes. We will journey by foot to sacred spaces downtown and in West Louisville that have been obscured or forgotten by history. We will bow our heads in silent prayer outside the chapel where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once preached. We will stand on the shores of the Ohio River listening for the distant voices of enslaved people who were once bought and sold on our city’s soil. We will cross the physical divide of 9th street and imagine what it looks like to bridge our community for a future filled with greater peace and justice.
Send Down the Fire is a daylong Confirmation preparatory retreat. Like all CrossRoads retreats, Send Down the Fire offers young people the opportunity to view their faith through the lens of relationship building and justice-seeking. Confirmandi examine our human oneness while seeking the gifts of the Holy Spirit within the marginalized stranger and themselves.

SEND DOWN THE FIRE
All One is a 6-day retreat that invites participants to explore our oneness and connectedness to all of creation: our marginalized brothers and sisters, plants and animals, and the Divine. We explore this connection through a retreat partnership between CrossRoads and Plowshares Farm Center for Education and Spirituality.
$375 per participant (includes lodging and meals). Scholarships available.
